High Expectations Exceeded!
Having read all of Culture Discovery's marketing materials, and after speaking with Rocky, I had high expectations for our CDV visit to Chianti. Those expectations were far exceeded!!! Well done CDV!

Having read all of Culture Discovery's marketing materials, and after speaking with Rocky, we had high expectations for our CDV visit to Chianti. Those expectations were far exceeded!!!
First, we would compliment our guide, Ilaria. She was amazing! Her energy was contagious and helped pull our group together almost immediately. Ilaria was so organized and attentive. She never waited for us to ask, she looked for things she could do to meet and exceed our expectations; and she did just that!
Our accommodations were lovely, and hotel staff very attentive and professional.
The schedule of events, including cooking classes, was brilliantly organized. While other tourists were visiting "tourist" destinations, we were cooking or out in the countryside at vineyards or the goat farm. We visited the busier tourist locations in the late afternoon, when the crowds were leaving town. To us, this appeared to have been really well thought through and orchestrated for our benefit.
I'd like to list a few highlights of our visit, but frankly it is dificult because there were so many. Again, I would include Ilaria, and would add: feeding the goats at the cashmere farm, all of the wine tastings, the foodie tour in Florence with Tony, and all of the food we made and were served, especially the dinner at Castellinuzzi e Piuca, where we were entertained by live music!
It was truly a fabulous trip, thanks to everyone at Culture Discovery.
